Prints for Subs: The earnings of my print sales will go to buy subs for young, talented photographer Deviants (see nocturno.deviantart.com/journa…). This initiative apparently has failed (no sales, to put it bluntly) so gift subscriptions will continue to come exclusively out or my pocket.

I have the intention on following up with all I've suggested in this journal, including the much-belated questionnaire for photographers and models, the entry on the measurement of beauty and other pending matters, even if it's just for one or two people who actually read this journal.

But the urgent has always imposed itself upon the important. And the urgent matters I have are mostly not even related to photography: translation, writing for the newspaper, fighting the battles of reason and critical thought, etc. The exception is the tentatively called "Times and Places" project I've been setting up for the past year and which is now in the production stage: I'm having a lovely dress sewn for Xeina, I'm having a chair built, I'm working on permissions and releases and a lot of bureaucratic stuff I absolutely hate, but without which I will not be able to shoot the photos I want.

It's pretty distressing, though.

So I'll really try to finish what I've started here, and if anyone was interested, I call upon your patience.



These are a few recent favorites in which I really enjoy the use of light in order to communicate and express.



I have devoted this account to my work with the human figure, in fact I have just deleted the 2 photos I still had with no people in them, they seemed really out of place.

Do I only take photos of people? well, no... I do use the camera on other subjects. Check my new poll and tell me if you'd be interested if I opened another account with macros, the odd landscape, fruits, conceptual stuff and in general shots of nonhuman subjects.
