Songs projectFor almost two months I haven't updated this journal. I've been in my annual Semana Negra festival engagement, but also working hard in the non-artistic world. This made me go into total immersion with one of my projects, the photos for Carlos Arellano's song "Nada de Ella".
I got me an abandoned house, after defeating many bureaucratic obstacles, a friend loaned me an electric generator since the house has no electricity. I spent four days inside a dusty old house uninhabited for decades, with my new discovery, Dania Mayela, a natural model (it was her first time in front of a camera, check her out!)
The shoot came out great, about one thousand images in 4 days, for a song that will use perhaps 80 photos. I've processed and edited obsessively this weekend to get a preliminary version of the video for the song (yes, a video with still photos, why is that strange? Some people look at me as if I were outta here).
Anyway, check out some of the photos in my "Nada de Ella" collection:

The video/slideshow for the song is now available in YouTube
[link]If you watch it and wish to comment, you can do it there or in this journal. All comments are extremely welcome in the context of the project. In fact, I ask you to please comment (not that it ever works, but hey, this might be the first time).
In the next two weeks I'll be finishing the photos for Yampi's
[link] "Es la Ciudad" song.
The Self-Portrait Contest was delayed. I'm sorry. Stay tuned, I will not disappear from the journal for two months again, I promise.
The "Me By Me" female selfportrait contest will be launched sometime in September!
Be patient, it will be worth it!
We COTINUE to need prizes: features in journals, subscriptions, dinner invitations, diamond rings, you name it, but PLEASE help along so more and more Deviantas (female deviants) will participate.
Just favsA lot of faves have entered my folders in these past weeks. Here are the top of the top according to that subjective and biased judge of what he likes: me:
There are no reasons for my photographs, nor any rules; all depends on the mood of the moment, on the mood of the model.
